Q(1) Personally i’ve never been too afraid of paranormal activity, or the talk of it. I would say my resistance to fear is due to my surroundings, my dad’s side of the family makes more of a mockery of “spirits and ghosts”. At an early age I was exposed to the Ouija board, i’d say around +10. Being so young and seeing it being treated very lightly (not in a serious manner) I had little to no fear or faith in it. I saw it as a board that we bought from Toys R Us, yes they sell it there…
With that being said I played it a couple of times as I remember, one time distinctly I remember playing it at the abandoned house across from my cousins house. We thought we’d have a better chance finding a “connection” in a vacant house. This was probably the only paranormal experience I can remember, We played it with 2 across from the board and each put 4 fingers on the palate- two and two on each corner. You ask in a calmly manner if anyone is there, they quickly responded yes, it took us multiple times to get someone interested in a conversation.
No one knows for sure if we were moving our fingers but from my end i recall almost hovering my fingers over the palate, thinking all was being moved from this spiritual connection. I recall this day specifically because this was the longest conversation we’d had with the board. To my memory it was a male who had been killed young, I forgot how. I remember him telling us various details about himself, a nice spirit if there was one so. He told us his mother passed as well, this was the weird part. He gave us her name and told us exactly where her grave was, a whittier cemetery. He asked us young girls to take her flowers, he gave us a specific kind too. Her favorite ones, at this point we had said yes. Again no one knew if anyone at the board was joking or if this was real, from this point on we had stopped the playing with the board and all parted ways. Me and my cousins being around the ranging ages of 10-15 no one had a car or enough of an attention span to want to actually follow up on delivering the flowers. I always felt it was rude we hadn't done what we promised but nothing ever came about that day again. A critical thinker would approach this situation somewhat as to how I did, I didn't exactly believe we weren't moving the boards palate, but I didn't know for sure either. The Chandian effect, the mind being a virtual simulation relating what we see to being real- I saw the board connecting back to us, did I ever verify the information was real? No. So I have zero certainty of the situation. The whole thing could've been my older cousins trying to fool me.
Q(2) I am one who really likes Astrology, this past weekend I actually got my Astrological Symbol tattooed on the back of my neck. Now I don’t study it religiously but to a certain extent I know about it, I know it has to do with the alignment of the planets and can reflect from the constellations. I think it does apply somewhat accurately, when it comes to my attitude and perspective on life I feel it is accurate. I am a very ambitious person and I’m also a very big realists, both said characteristics of Capricorns. Me, my father, and my best friend are all Capricorns. All of us bond very well, I see where astrology has its doubts though in this scenario; Capricorns are usually defined as Hard characters that are very motivated- so much they might step on toes w/o any remorse. That applies correctly when it comes to my father and I, but when it comes to my best friend I think it’s way off. She's a sweet quiet person who would rather let her toes get stepped on then hurting another's feelings. She's motivated yes but not to an extreme extent as said to be. A critical thinker would compare astrology to an Educated guess, those who write about it/daily horoscopes- examine how invested certain people are in things and tell them what they want to hear. There are millions of cites a day you can check for a horoscope and I very HIGHLY doubt they are all reflected from what the planets alignments and constellations are saying. I think it's a fun thing to still check and my father is interested in it in a more intellectual way so I find it in no way harm to keep up with it. Do I completely believe it's all true? No but it can make you more of an optimist if it's a “good” day for you.
Q(3) If an intelligent alien visited our earth I feel the custom he would be most appalled by is the amount of disrespect we have for one another. As a culture we are slowly losing more and more respect for one another, It used to be respect your elders regardless. People now only respect you if they have some kind of opportunity to gain from you (job, connection, good reference). I believe aliens would look at us very savagely, a large part of our society acts as if they were not raised morally/politically correct. Sadly it’s not getter better by generations.
