Exam 3 Code (64247) 1. I tend to experience "Gummy Land" quite often. The one moment that up to know still has me wondering if it was real or just my imagination was while I watched a movie. I do not recall the name of the movie but I remember that there was a man flying an airplane. I get near the television screen and waved hi to the man. All of a sudden the man waves hi. I remember wondering what just happened. I was not sure if it was a coincidence that I waved at a perfect time or was I imagining that the man waved. I was never sure specially because I was about 6 years old and I know that at that age we tend to imagine so may things.
In High School I had a friend named Rose who experienced "Gummy Land" but it did scare her a lot. We were 10th grades, it was almost the end of the school year and we were in P.E. class. I remember that we were in the gym doing exercise because it was our finals week. While doing our exercise, which at that moment we were doing sit-ups, my friend yelled and got up panicking. I asked her what was wrong, she tells me that she seen the fan falling down and that she saw death. I stared to worry because that was not the first time she says she seen death. On the night of July 7, 2003 I receive a call from a friend telling me that Rose died in a car accident.
2. I do recall several moments I was caught by "maya". I remember one time as a teenager on a 4th of July night. That day my father had promised that he would actually be home and to make it even better that he would be home early. To me his promise meant a lot due to the fact that he would disappear from the house for a few days without letting us know if he was fine or where he was. We would latterly loss contact with him. So, on this night my siblings and I waited for my father. We did not light up the fireworks because we wanted to do it as a family. It was getting late, it was past 9 o'clock, for a school week. My mother kept telling us to just light up the fireworks but we were held bent that our father would show up. I decided to go up to my bedroom because I was getting sad. I opened up the curtains to my bedroom window, sat down and looked out into the darkness. In front of my window there was a tall tree that covered part of the window. After a few minutes of thinking and staring out the window I seen a dark figure that looked like a man who was squatting in the tree branches. I got really scared, I drooped to the floor and crawled my way out of my bedroom. As soon as I was out of my room, I ran down stairs and told my mother what I had just seen. My mother said it was just my mind playing tricks on me due to the fact that my father was on my mind all day. I was hoping really hard that he would be home so that is why I seen that figure. I went back up to my bedroom and without looking at the window I closed the curtains and went to sleep.
On February of this year I had the laser eye surgery. I had been wearing glasses for almost 20 years. After having the surgery I thought that I still had glasses or that I was wearing contacts. A few times before going to bed I was really close to removing my glasses or contacts. I could feel that I was wearing something that was not there. I would also try to adjust my glasses which were no longer on my face. Up to now I catch myself trying to adjust the glasses but it is less frequent that I do that.

Film test # 3 Code: 64247 1. Provide two or more examples of "Gumby Land" thinking in your own life or from someone you know. Feel free to tell it in story form.
One example of “Gumby Land” thinking in my own life would have to be my grandmother’s beliefs in evil spirits and ghost. She deeply believes there are evil spirits in our house so every night, she would pray and sprinkle holy water around the whole house. She claims that she had seen a spirit of a young girl, in a long white dress, and long hair, crying in the corner of our kitchen. In addition, my grandmother claims she heard someone calling her name in the middle of the night. After these incidences, she started to hang small crosses at the top of the door in every room because she believes the crosses will keep the evil spirit out of our rooms. Every time I attempted to question or challenge her beliefs in evil spirits; I get screamed at for even questioning her about her beliefs. Another example of “Gumby Land” was when I was young. My mother would always tell me if I went to sleep with my hair wet then it will all fall out the next morning. I believed her for a while until I was at a sleep over at a friend’s house. I fell asleep with my hair wet and woke up the next morning with all the hair still attached to my head.
2. Describe two or more examples from your own life where you have been caught by “maya” and how did you extricate yourself from such a decision? You may also use examples from others you know.
One example of when I was caught by “maya” was when I was 5 and I would believe in the tooth fairy. Whenever I lose a tooth; I would put it under my pillow and wake up the next morning with money replacing the tooth. However, one night I happened to awoken to a noise and saw my mother grabbing the tooth under my pillows and that was the night I stopped believing in the tooth fairy. Another example I could think of was when I had a “best friend” in middle school. We have been best friends since we were 6 years old. We hung out a lot, have sleep overs, and do things that best friends do. However, one day I got a text from a friend that says my “best friend” had been talking negatively about me. I didn’t believe her until I went over to her house and she showed the nasty messages that my best friend had written. I was blinded by her fake positivity but I was glad able to see the messages because it opened up my eyes to see what a hypocritical person she has been all these years.

Code 64247 Exam 3
Provide two or more examples of “Gumby Land” thinking in your own life or from someone you know. Feel free to tell it in story form. An example of “Gumby Land” that I noticed from my girl friends, grandma is that she believes in vietnamese black magic. She believes that if you pay these superstitious people in Vietnam they will make some type of powder that you can put into somebody’s food or drink this way you curse them. Her grandma does believe that black magic can curse someone however, there is no evidence to prove this actually works. Another example of “Gumby Land” a co-worker of mine experienced was when he was going through a hard time financially and he was barely making ends meet. My coworker is also religious and believes that anything that has been given was because of God. So, one day my coworker was telling me how he was not able to put food on the table for his family because he did not have the money to. However, the next day he had woken up and found groceries on his table which he believed that god was the reason for this. I told him that was not true but a matter of a miracle that his parents came by to bring them food without knowing his financial struggle.
2. Describe two or more examples from your own life where you have been caught by “maya” and how did you extricate yourself from such a delusion? You may also use examples from others you know. One example of “Maya” I experienced in my own life is when I was younger, about 8 years old I used to believe that if you spilled salt you would immediately have to toss salt over your shoulder to prevent spirits from coming. Although as I got older I realized this was not true because one day I was eating dinner and spilled salt and completely forgot to throw it over my shoulder and nothing ended up happening to me. Another example of “maya” I experienced in my life is when I used to believe that santa clause was real when I was young. I was told that I would have to stay asleep until christmas morning if I wanted any gifts under my tree. As I got older I wanted to test this and see if that was true or if I could catch Santa in the act. The night before christmas I pretended I was asleep and walked out my room around 12 midnight, this was the time I realized that Santa was not real and the “Santa” that I believed in was actually my parents.

Probably the most common “gumby land” example would be religion. Millions of people believe in their religion for some odd reason. I just find it hard to believe there are hundreds of religions and who is to say one is right and one is wrong? Just because a book or story was told thousands of years ago doesn’t make it true. How can there be so many religions when most religions only believe there is the only true one? That does not make sense. Back in the mayan era they believed they had to sacrifice people in order for the some to come up another day. It they would have just waited and saw if they didn’t kill anyone the sun would still come up, but they were too scared to not kill anyone. So you can argue people who are religious are too scared to not obey their religion and will think bad things will happen. For example Christians and other religions feel if you do a lot of bad things in your lifetime you will go to hell and suffer a miserable time for eternity. Now think hard about that. Sounds like a joke right? No one is going to hell no matter what religion you are. You are simply going to be buried and eaten by worms or be cremated.
I find the example used in the videos to describe “maya” were great. Mostly everyone says they are looking at the sunset and not “looking at the sunset eight minutes in the past.” Also looking at the stars not many people look at the stars and think of them hundreds of thousands of years ago. A funny example used a lot by Mexican mothers is that if you go outside when it’s raining, you will get sick. You can simply see how that it false. You don’t get sick from rain, you simply get sick from germs.

Drawing from the star trek metaphor, and using your own life as a template, describe three or more incidents from your life were you reacted as "Spock", "Kirk", and " Scotty". 11632 Spock: Rational During the winter most people avoid going into non-heated pools and usually stick to hot tubs, but most people aren't my friends. It was before Christmas and my best friend decided to have me and a couple of our friends over. One of my friends had a brilliant idea to dare everyone to go jump in the freezing water and everyone didn't want to look like a cowered, everyone except me. i kept going over and over the situation in my head while everyone began to get ready. Should I? Should I not? The rational side was telling me that I'm crazy if i jump into needle piercing water, but the non-rational fun-loving side of me was going to join my crazy friends. There was a war going on in my head and my friends wanted the fun loving side to win while I wanted to stay the hell away. As they began to jump in, their expression was price less and I could not stop laughing at everyone who decided to jump in. I was the only one that did not dare to and i still had a great laugh just watching those fun-loving idiots go an and come out gasping for heat.
Kirk: Emotional One of my major flaws as a human being is letting my emotions get the best of me and i end up hurting the people around me. Although this is not the case for my caring too much side of me, my anger, frustration, and sadness are the ones that completely ruin my day if I let them get the best of me. I am one of those people that gets extremely grumpy if I have not feed. So one day i get home from a very exhausting swim practice and find that there is absolutely no food in my kitchen and i immediately let my anger get the best of me. I go into my mothers room and practically yell at her asking why she did not cook anything. Her explination was that she was too tired from work and didn't know I was going to get home early. I go ballistic. I start going through the kitchen trying to find something to digest. I gather the most random ingredients and make myself a salad. After I have fed, I begin to realize how crazy I was acting and felt so horrible for yelling at my dear mother. This is one of many examples on how I let my emotions get to me. Good or Bad the results may differ.

Drawing from the film "surfing the matrix", and using your own life as a template, describe two or more incidents where you experienced an unusual coincidence. 11632 It was the summer of 2015 and I was bumming it at home trying to keep as cool as possible. I awoke and did my usual routine of going through my facebook feed. As I'm scrolling down i see that my favorite band has just announced that they will be having a raffle later that day and the winners will be able to attend their free concert after the raffle. I immediately get in contact with my partner, who also like this band, and i tell him the news. We start to discuss our possibilities and after going back and forth on whether going or not he decides to cut class early and comes to pick me up. On our way to the Observatory in Santa Ana, we discuss the possibilities of us winning v.s. coming back home pist because we weren't able to get in. My partner and i agreed to just try and be positive and whether we won or not we at least tried and that better than not trying at all. We arrive and but ten tickets each which were only a dollar each, not too bad. There was about a two to three hour wait before they began to announce they winners so my love and I grab a bite to eat while we wait. On the way back we discover that the raffle has begun and we run towards the raffle and hope that they haven't called our numbers yet. An hour and a half passes and still our numbers have yet to be called upon. I look at my partner and he says to me " watch, i bet you Brook (lead singer) is going to come out himself and he's going to be the one to call our number". A half an hour passes and next thing you know we see brook coming out of the venue and begins to call out raffle ticket numbers. After a hand full of numbers are called I being to lose hope that we will not be seeing our most favorite band. I look down looking at the numbers and start to go over them and hear that one of the numbers have just been called. Once it hits be i scream my lungs out! I did not believe my love called it out! it was unbelievable! It was the most amazing thing we have ever experienced and we never really won anything before so it was the best night in my life so far.

Drawing from the film "We are all scientist" describe several incidents in your life were you thought and acted scientifically. 999
When I was about 15 or 16 years old I use to bake a lot for my friends birthdays or for the holidays. I use to always go by the instructions that the cake mix came with until i began to add in my own ingredients that made it the taste and texture of the cake more acceptable. While the original recipe only asked for two eggs, I decided to use three with only using egg white and no egg yoke included because it was a healthier choice. I also began to use almond milk instead or regular milk because, again, it was a lot more healthier and it made the cake really spongy. Now the fact that I began to do my own experiments proves that i acted like a scientist because I tried to find more intricate ways of making a better cake.
Have you ever in your life ever used a "magic formula" to secure what you wanted or to protect yourself?
When I was in high school I was part of a swim team that I participated in for four years. Very well spent years of my life. So my Jr year I was selected by my coach to be a co-captain and ever since then i dedicated my energy, time, and sweat to my team in order to take not only myself but my team to the top. So I made sure i was a good enough roll model for my team in order for them to understand that I am completely serious about winning. So I before every meet or event I had to do I would put on my headphones, sit crisscrossed and meditated while trying to control my breathing. The first time I did this the results were incredible. I got first place for my 100m fly against a rival school. After a while my teammates began to notice this "ritual" that i did every time before a meet and they started to join in with me or did it on their own whenever their event was coming up. My coach being estatic of this new phenomenon encouraged everyone to do it. Some gathered in, some still thought that it didn't work. at least not until they tried it.

Film test 2 code :999 1. Drawing from the movie "we are all scientists" describe several incidents in your own life where you thought and acted scientifically. Be sure to detail how your thoughts or actions were scientific. We are all capable of thinking and solving problems like a scientist. A scientist can be described as a person that utilizes the scientific method. This method is a process of steps that can be simply broken down into three parts. First, the person comes up with a hypothesis, an educated guess, about how a certain phenomenon occurs. Secondly, the person puts the idea to the test through an experiment. Lastly, the person analyses the results and decides as to whether the hypothesis was correct or false. If false the person can then try out alternative hypothesis and repeat the process. An example from my own life is from when I first attempted to change the oil on the second motorcycle I owned. From my previous experiences changing the oil on my car and my first motorcycle, I at least had a general idea of what I was doing. However, after slowly taking apart the coverings on one side of my bike I realized that the oil filter and drain plug where located on the opposite side. In this example I had a hypothesis that this bike would have both the filter and plug on the same side as my first bike. The result was that I had wasted an hour where I had to put my bike back together and then continue removing the coverings on the other side. After reflecting on the result I learned to never do an oil change on the wrong right side of that motorcycle. Another example is when I began hiking. All I had to my disposal was books and online guides for reference since no one in my immediately family or group of friends were abundantly knowledgeable of surviving in the backcountry. Therefore, I researched what to carry, which trails to take, and the dangers of the wild. On my first hiking trip I tested the weight of my backpack and savagery of the untamed animals on the south fork trail of Mt. San Gorgonio in southern California. After the two night trip, I returned home knowing that for the next trip I would adjust at least one thing. Bring a lighter backpack. Currently, I am undergoing EMT training to get into the field of emergency medicine. With every patient I have met, I have had to be a scientist. As soon as the 911 call is received I can being making hypotheses as to the patient’s condition. Upon arrival at the scene, I can then follow a set of test to see what could be and how severe their ailment or injury is. Are they alert? Can they breathe without difficult? Is the heart beating efficiently? After which I can analyze the results and determine whether to quickly move the patient onto the ambulance and drive with lights and sirens to the hospital, or if is there some time to gather more information and treat minor injuries. Additionally, I have had to be a scientist for simply choosing my days attire. After taking a shower I will look at my closet and ponder which will be the best for the day. From previous occasions of sitting in class for hour long lectures I know that wearing a simple t shirt and jeans will bring no unwanted attention, I will fit in, and be relatively comfortable. So I can grab a plain red shirt, navy blue jeans, and put it to the test again. At the end of the day I can analyze whether my hypothesis was correct or if I was threatened or attacked by anyone because of my clothing. From there on out I can choose to continue wearing similar clothing or avoid being seen in class with the same attire. 2. Using the movie "voodoo voodoo" as your prompt, have you in your life ever used a "magical formula" (from prayers to mantras to chants to childhood rhymes, etc.) to secure what you wanted or to protect yourself, etc? Feel free to tell your recollections in story form. How would you today rationally explain how and why it worked? To get what I desired, I wished for the opposite. In many role play video games today, there is an implemented random number generator (RNG) that attempts to generate random date with the use of algorithms. Though this system is not truly random and can be and has been manipulated in different games, it is still enough to invoke frustration in players. At the age of 8, I would play Pokémon red for hours each day until I could find all 150 Pokémon. For the reason that some characters were rare because of their low appearance rates, I would have to traverse the same patch of grass for hours and days to finally have a chance to capture those rare Pokémon. For little 8 year old me it quickly became tiresome and I began to seek alternative methods to hopefully shorten the amount of time I spent hunting the rare Pokémon. I wanted to cheat the RNG system. One method I employed was that I started to wish for the opposite. Out loud I would say “I wish I don’t find this rare Pokémon”. It seemed to me that the rare events would only occur when I wasn’t particularly searching for them. On very few occasions it would feel like my antagonistic wish would work in finding the rare Pokémon, but of course for the majority of the time it would result to no avail. A reason why it might have seemed that my backwards wish would work was because it relaxed me and made the game less infuriating. If I got upset with the game my time perception would slow down, thus making it feel like I was playing for ages instead of hours. 3. Calvino's shuffle is an important metaphor. Why should it be a guiding principle when claiming something for certain? Give examples. Calvino’s shuffle says that we cannot be certain about the meaning and interpretation of the set of cards on the table until the very last card is drawn. This is because each card can have numerous meanings depending on who interprets it. This metaphor then can be depicted as saying that our assumptions on people, events, and even objects we may see every day could possibly be proven wrong at the last moment, thus we cannot claim certainty at least until we have been given all the facts. For example, an entity that can be seen in different ways is light. Most people will view the following three colors in traffic lights: green, yellow, and red. The colors that I see are green, yellow, and orange like the skin of a carrot because of my color deficiency. Consequently, we cannot declare that we completely understand or know the way something is because we often do not have all the facts, and someone can easily come by and claim they perceive the same object or idea differently.

Film Exam Questions #2 Test#999 1. Drawing from the movie "we are all scientists" describe several incidents in your own life where you thought and acted scientifically. Be sure to detail how your thoughts or actions were scientific.
Over this past winter I purchased a Chinese motor kit off of some guy I found on craigslist that converts and normal bicycle into a gasoline powered moped after some modifications. The whole project took me about 3 days to finally complete to where the bike was ride able. Mounting all the gears, hardware, and the motor on the bike frame itself was fairly easy and didn’t take me long at all. The scientific part was adjusting the carburetor of the 80cc motor so that it would have a balanced amount of oxygen and gasoline entering the cylinder so that the engine would idle and wouldn’t choke up and turn off. I had to think about how the internal combustion engine works. A piston inside the engine block cylinder opens sucking in oxygen then mixing it with gasoline. This mixture is then compressed by the piston during the compression stroke where it is ignited by the spark plug so that the gas will explode and force the piston downward turning the crankshaft which the piston revolves on. Turning the crankshaft turns a gear attached to the crankshaft which turns the chain attached to the teeth on the gear which turns the bicycle wheels which propels the bicycle forward. I had to tinker with the carburetor opening and closing it trying to find the perfectly balanced spot for it so that it would allow an equal and sufficient amount of oxygen to flood the cylinder chamber in order to be mixed with the gasoline without over filling and choking the motor up and shutting it off.
At the moment I can’t recall and chants that I used to blurt out in order to trick myself into thinking that something magical or phenomenal was going to happen. I know I would do silly things like this with my cousins and friends as a child, I just can remember them now. However there is an act that I would do that is related to the same concept of chanting such rhymes in hope of a miracle. My parents used to tell me that if I didn’t wash my soccer socks it would bring me good luck. This was a ritual that I’ll always remember having played soccer for about 17 years. I used to believe that if I didn’t wash my socks I’d become a better player on the field. I could kick farther, run faster, and score more goals. I know that this wasn’t true at all but it was just a psychological thing that made me think that if I listened to what my parents told me and I didn’t wash my socks some mythical legend would help me out and make me better. Just the thought that I didn’t wash my socks like my parents had said not to would make me think I was better and boosted my confidence so I would seem to perform better.
3. Calvino's shuffle is an important metaphor. Why should it be a guiding principle when claiming something for certain? Give examples.
When you are certain you really don’t know what you believe. The universe is so complex and undiscovered that we really don’t know when we are certain. Calvino explains that you can’t be certain until you’ve discovered the whole picture. At the end of the whole card game is when you know all the information and that’s the time when you should be able to make the most knowledgeable decision possible. One example of this is E-cigs. When they first hit the market everyone believed they were very healthy because it was just water vapor that you were inhailing and they were safe for anyone to use. It wasn’t until scientist began to research the chemicals used to make the liquid juices and the long term effects of using these devices that people began to realize their harmful effects. At first people jumped to conclusions because they believed that because the vapor juices were organic and it wasn’t anything actually burning it was much cleaner and healthier for you if you were looking for a different alternative to smoking or if you were looking to quit smoking.

01.
I haven’t had any paranormal experience in my life, but I heard a story from my grandmother from Sri Lanka. She told me a story of a drunken man who was carrying raw pork meat at about 11 P.M. and apparently a women with a white saree asked him to hold her baby for a while and she disappeared with a white mist. Chandian effect is related to the UFOs, but I guess that would not be relate with my story.

According to the Eastern Time my astrological sign is Leo. According to the western time my sign is Virgo. Sometimes my horoscope in Eastern Time works in the western time, but the horoscope in western time is the same. Most of the things written in it are real life things that could be applied to my day today moments. It can be defined through the critical thinking. According to the sign and the horoscope details written in it is sometimes can be compared with the person’s attitude. Some people disbelieve in this fact, but some people has logical arguments towards it. Most of the eastern cultures are depend upon the horoscope and the certainty with the religion.

If an intelligent alien visits a human house. The alien definitely finds odd about addiction to the television. Nowadays most of the people are so fascinated about the entertainment. They will sacrifice all of their time to watch the latest football or baseball game. Sometimes the way some people behave is another difference. If an alien compare with his lifestyle and his dress ups, it’s completely different to the way the humans dress up. As it is written and showed in the movies alien is a being that has a vast knowledge and a much matured brain capacity. The way alien thinks is completely differ than the human’s thinking. 1964

FILM EXAM QUESTIONS 4 9/23/15
Code-1964
Question 1: Have you ever had a paranormal experience? Or, do you know of someone who claims to have had one? How would you explain it rationally? Does the Chandian Effect apply?
Answer: Unfortunately, I have not had a paranormal experience. Well maybe I should say fortunately. I don’t know how I would react. However, my friend once told me about her paranormal experience. She recently had lost her grandmother. She says for some reason she woke up in the middle of the night and then her grandmother appeared at the foot of her bed. Like most people would react she was in shock. She quickly went under the covers and went back to sleep. Rationally, I would think she never woke up. She was dreaming. Since she had been thinking about her grandmother she saw her in her dream. I think the Chandian Effect does apply in this “paranormal experience”. Her grandma only appeared to her in a dream not in real life.
Question 2: Think of your own astrological sign and find a horoscope that pertains to you. Does it fit? How would a critical thinking explain it?
Answer: I’m a Gemini. I found a horoscope that reads “my creativity was blocked last month while Mercury was retrograde, but when it moves forward in your artistic sector on the 9th. It’s time to get your ideas out there. Launch a YouTube channel showcasing your beauty tips documenting your photography obsession-people have become famous for lesser things.” Does this fit? No. I don’t have any beauty tips to share nor do I have a photography obsession. Critical thinking would say most women love applying makeup. This horoscope could apply to several women.
Question 3: If an intelligent alien did indeed visit this planet and came over to your house, what do you think he would find most odd about human behavior?
Answer: I think aliens would find the way I treat my dog kind of odd. I love my dog! I give her kisses and hugs. I have several toys for her to play with. She has a little steps to come up on the bed. I treat her like family. An alien might think my dog doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. A dog is a useless animal. But I would have to convince them she serves a purpose. She keeps me company and loves me in return.

1957-8
1. I was once on vacation and had gotten sick and was running a fever. A couple of days beforehand my aunt had passed away and that night it was her services and I was left home with my aunt to take care of me. I remember that night I had woken up in a daze and I remember hearing it pour and what sounded like a rushing river and two women weeping hysterically. I look over and see my aunt sleeping in a chair beside me. The next morning I asked everyone if they had heard the two weeping women and the river and everyone looked at me like I was crazy. They said that no one was outside or that it rained the night before. I would argue that it was just a projection of my mind and that I was running a high fever and could have been delusional.
2. My astrological sign is a Gemini. I use to start off my day by reading my horoscope every morning but I stopped reading them because they were just not accurate anymore and were becoming very stupid. Last month I read my horoscope for the week on a Monday morning and I decided to screenshot it and then reread it again on Sunday. The horoscope was true for the most part. It read something along the lines that I would have a flirtatious relationship with someone and that week I did. It also read something about changing my surroundings and I had started redecorating my room.
3. I think that if aliens visited our planet they would find it unusual about our human behavior is the lack of face to face human interaction. We have become so dependent on our technology that we cant communicate face to face. As humans we can't survive without it, we use it on a day to day basis that if it fails, we don't know what to do with our lives. I think it would be a strange sight that humans lack interaction.

#1957/8 - FILM EXAM QUESTIONS #4
Have you ever had a paranormal experience? Or, do you know of someone who claims to have had one? How would you explain it rationally? Does the Chandian Effect apply?
Yes. There was a time where I liked to go “ghost” or “paranormal” hunting. Well this one night my friends and i joined this group of people from the app called MeetUp. We all met up and went to an abandoned mental institution at about 12AM that night. There came a point in our exploration that one of the guys called all of us into the largest room there because there was supposedly a spirit present. The only entrance to the room was a dark hallway that we were all facing. All around us were these cages with beds and large file cabinets. In the center of the room, there was a large table with about 6 seats around it. The guy sat in the seat facing the dark hallway and the rest of us stood up surrounding him. Once the room was dead silent, the guy spoke and said, “I see you standing in the hallway. Do not be afraid to come down and show us that you are here.” We all thought of this as nothing more that him being lost in his thoughts and mind. After about 5 minutes of us standing there in silence an empty bottle came rolling toward us. Right before that bottle came rolling towards us, I remember getting these horrible chills and the temperature in the entire room got extremely cold. To this day, there is not any rational reasoning that comes to mind to explain what happened that night. The chandian effect does not apply as we were all able to see the bottle roll towards us and pick it up if we wanted to.
2. Think of your own astrological sign and find a horoscope that pertains to you. Does it fit? How would a critical thinking explain it?
No, the horoscope of the day did not pertain to my life. It claimed that I would meet someone new that would change my life and make me feel like there is a magnetic pull between us. A critical thinker would be able to analyze this as it being obvious for you meeting someone new everyday and if it were to be someone of the opposite sex, you might feel a connection towards them.
3. If an intelligent alien did indeed visit this planet and came over to your house, what do you think he would find most odd about human behavior?
I think if an intelligent alien would visit my house, I think he would find it odd how my brother and another roommate interact and treat their cats. They treat them as though they are actual human beings. I also think that they would find it odd that majority of humans find boredom in a world full of limitless knowledge that can be obtained in many free ways. Such as a library.
